In our latest installment of "Meet the Team," we are introducing you to David Stella, our Director of Sales at Vault. We had the privilege to converse with David and hear about his extensive experience in workforce screening and learn fun facts about him.
Can you tell our readers a little about yourself and your background?I reside in Bethlehem, PA. I have three great kids; My son works for a Construction Management Company as an Engineer; I have one daughter who is in her final year of nursing school and I have a daughter in high school. I worked for Quest Diagnostics for almost 27 years in a variety of roles ultimately becoming a National Sales Manager. I moved on to DSI Medical Services as the Director of Business Development for a few years prior to coming to Vault.
How did you find yourself at Vault Workforce Screening?I was very active on LinkedIn for a few weeks and was approached by a recruiter for Vault. I was far along in the interview process with another company, but ultimately decided that this position at Vault was the best path for me. I am very happy to work for Vault because the company is committed to growth and enhancing its product offerings in the employment screening space.
What do you like most about Vault Workforce Screening?I like the fact that all employees of Vault are passionate about providing quality service to our customers! The customer is first in all we do and this is evident every day. The internal teams work diligently to make sure our customers needs are met in prompt fashion. Collaboration with the Sales team is very important when onboarding new clients and servicing existing clients. Collaboration is all around at Vault!
What is your leadership philosophy?I believe that a leader must communicate effectively and respect all team members. It is important to listen to the ideas of others and ultimately make decisions that will move the team forward and become positioned for success. Additionally, a leader must recognize that traditional selling tactics of the past have become increasingly more difficult and it is critical to find other ways of reaching prospective customers.
What is your best advice for someone managing an employment screening program? My best advice is to partner with a vendor that can manage as many pieces of your onboarding process as possible. Additionally, your employment screening vendor should provide you with the ability to order all services in a paperless fashion. Electronic ordering provides for proper information flow and timely reporting of results. Choose Vault Workforce Screening!
We’ve talked a lot about work. What do you like to do outside of the office?I really enjoy spending as much time as possible with my kids and my dog outside of work. Sports have always been a huge part of my life with English Premier League Soccer being my passion – Manchester United! I also enjoy going to concerts with friends and my kids. I have seen over 300 concerts with The Lumineers next on the schedule!
