In our latest installment of "Meet the Team," we are introducing you to Sarah Boone, our Director of Sales for regulated transportation at Vault. We had the privilege to converse with Sarah and hear about her extensive experience in workforce screening and what she does outside of the office.
Can you tell our readers a little about yourself and your background?
I live in Mt. Juliet, TN – right outside of Nashville. I just got married and have a Great Pyrenees and a cat. I went to school for music business but ended up at HireRight where I worked for 12 years in a variety of roles. I joined the Vault team in April 2022 as a Director of Sales specializing in regulated transportation.
How did you find yourself at Vault Workforce Screening?
I was sent a recruitment email and was intrigued by the description of Vault and their culture, though I was very happy in my role at the time. I went through the interview process, and it ended up that it was a great fit on both sides, so I made the move over.
What do you like most about Vault Workforce Screening?
I think the thing I appreciate most about Vault is the care that they have for their clients and employees. The culture is incredibly supportive, and the people that I get to work with daily are truly passionate about providing the best service and products to our clients.
What is your best advice for someone managing an employment screening program?
Look to the experts for what you should be doing, whether you hire a Third Party Administrator (TPA) or a consultant, make sure you have someone versed in all of the legal items to do with screening to ensure the best candidates for your organization.
We have talked a lot about work. What do you like to do outside of work?
I love the outdoors and spend lots of time hiking and at the lake. I recently rafted the Grand Canyon for eight days with my dad and can’t wait for my next opportunity to get on the river. I like cooking and baking, and I am always looking for new things to create. I volunteer at an animal rescue, and love to bring my fosters on team calls.
